man this is bullshit....i wasn't keeping up with the whole mod drama, why did it have to come down to this? i'd hate for us to start ALL over from scratch like last year...everything was settled...and now it's gone...i hope yall can like get everything back because I miss the Champaign Room and Media Exclusives lol....

Listen guys, you can all talk about how LoW had good ideas but his actions say enough about how much he cares about you guys. If he truly was out to do what was best for us, he wouldn't have done this (or played a part in it), and he definitely wouldn't have done it this way. I understand where you two are coming from about the length of the url but would it be too hard to bookmark it? If you take the long view, thahiphopcorner.com accomplishes two things: 1) allows the board to benefit from the search engine traffic the phrase "tha corner" already gets and 2)ranks higher in google due to having our target keyword in the title.

Also it seems like the majority so far wants to hold on to part of the TC name that is now defunct. We can always purchase an alias to point to the new site.

As far as Low is concerned...he has sided with Super and I think it'll be best to leave it where it is. If cats would prefer to post on whatever those two are working on, there would be no hard feelings. The key to making the new TC stronger than the old one is to have all of the administration on the same page and it's clear that me, chi, and a few others see things completely differently than Low and Super. We have a chance to start clean so I don't think it's a good idea to carry over some of the old issues that caused the divide in the first place.

@ Angry - Certainly understandable; it'd be best to get the new posters people are so always wanting, right? IDK if a better sounding one more beneficial to searches etc can be came up with, then change it from THHC lol

Of course you can bookmark it, but you have to have a catchy name to get people interested.
Nobody's gonna say "Yo, I'm gonna go visit THHC now" or "I'm totally gonna follow ThaHipHopCorner.net" on Twitter.
I would even go as far to say that 6-8 characters is the optimal size for a name, and the "The" should be dropped if possible.

/edit: Although ThaCornerBassment sounds ok as well. You can pronounce and abbrevate it well and that's two important factors.

I think a much better alternative could've been reached that the option taken where all of us kinda got the shaft
feels like we all got left in the cold at the hands of a few or one
